About Anthony

Anthony DeYoung is a Washington DC based photographer who specializes in cultural photography. His work often captures real life moments in a surreal and thought provoking way. His work often includes people, landscapes, nature, geometry and religious and spiritual sites.
Anthony has over 20 years of experience as a professional photographer. After serving as an officer in the US Navy he attended photojournalism school in Victoria, British Columbia. Since then, he has worked as a photojournalist and freelance photographer for a variety of clients.
Anthony worked as a National Park Service photographer and is currently employed by the U.S Department of Energy as a full time photographer. He has a degree in Cultural Geography from San Diego State University and is currently working on several long term projects involving ancient Mayan and Aztec traditions and sacred sites.
